Branch Meeting & Social
93-95 Hyndland St
Glasgow G11 5PU
After a momentous effort of campaigning during spring, with positive results for the branch in both Local Government and General Election, we are easing back into ordinary branch business. Summer is supposedly here and if you haven’t headed off for a somewhat more sunnier and warmer climate somewhere else, you are very welcome to our next:
Branch Meeting & Social
This will be held 8 July, 7pm in Cottiers, 93-95 Hyndland St, Glasgow G11 5PU. All welcome for a short branch meeting, with following social get together.
The dates for the Annual Conference has been announced and it will be held Sun 8th – Tue 10th October at the SEC in Glasgow. As we are the local branch we will again have the opportunity to have a stall and to arrange an official event/party for fundraising. Volunteers, ideas, donations, etc. are welcome!
Resolutions for Conference
As always, members can be part of policy development and we can submit resolutions to the conference. The deadline for resolutions is Fri 28 July, so please bring any ideas for resolutions to the branch meetings and/or email Valerie Gauld, (Political Education Officer) firstname.lastname@example.org. We will not have any further branch meeting before the deadline, so we will ask if the Executive of the Branch can approve and submit any resolutions on behalf of the branch
Deadline for amendments, and nominations for internal elections, will be Fri 1st September.
Passes for Conference
We will get a fairly generous allocation of passes for the conference. Last year we had more than the number of members who wanted to attend. We will set up an online registration form later when we know the allocation, so please keep an eye open for further information, if you want to attend.

Just an early flag up for the AGM, which will be held early in September. Take the opportunity to talk to current Executive members and see what it is like to be active in the Executive. The Glasgow Kelvin Branch has always been a very active, well organised branch, which delivers when it is required and we are welcoming new and old members to be part of the Executive and work for our continuing success. We have always place for people, who want to take an active part outside campaigning and contribute with their skills and work, creating the best possible ground for achieving progressive, inclusive politics and our ultimate goal..
